We are pleased to announce that Industeel’s wear resistant steel Relia®400 is now available as XCarb® Recycled and Renewably Produced (RRP) plates at Universal Eisen Und Stahl GmbH.
The decarbonization of industry does not stop at renewable energies; resource-saving processes and the use of climate-friendly materials support the transformation of the economy. Universal Eisen und Stahl GmbH, founded in 1958 is one of the most competent and highest performing providers on the market today. At their warehouses in Neuss and Hanover they stock some 60,000 tons of steel in 40 grades, and will stock quality plates made of CO2-reduced steel for their customers.
Relia® 400 made from recycled steel scrap and using renewable wind energy in the electric arc furnace, allow a carbon footprint reduction of around 60% compared to traditional steelmaking. They are available in thicknesses up to 100mm and are third-party certified with a Product Carbon Footprint of 1.1 tons of CO2eq per ton of plate.
