Covid 19- Impact statement, April 24th
2020-04-23

« Dear Customer,

Industeel is closely monitoring the evolution of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic across the globe and is assessing the situation, the impact on employees, customers, suppliers and the business.

The health and safety of Industeel employees is paramount.

Industeel is following WHO and local health authority guidance. In addition, Industeel has carried out extensive work in coordination with its social partners to ensure the health and safety of its employees by implementing stringent health and safety measures, while securing business continuity.

We have done everything in our power to partially restart our mills after lockdown in France on March 13th and Belgium on March 18th through the implementation of recommended government health measures and extensive communication campaigns to convince workers that it is safe to come to work.

1)            Progressively, Industeel has resumed production from 23rd March

2)            We expect all our mills to be working at 80-90% from 27th April

3)            Following that we’ll continue to increase our production flow.

As a company with more than 2000 people, some of us have been affected by COVID 19, some of them are now doing well and are back at work but others are still being treated and so are absent for the moment.

Sadly no one can yet tell us when we will fully be able to put this period, and this virus, behind us and we need to continue to be cautious and to adapt our health and safety measures to the current events. Meanwhile we are continuing to manage the situation on a day by day basis, as best as we can.

The Company has implemented Homeworking and will continue to maximise homeworking wherever possible, our sales, Supply Chain, Customer Services, methods and financial teams are available and online.

Currently, we are continuing delivery of goods from all our mills and from all our external logistic platforms.

Almost certainly your purchase orders have been affected, you will be regularly informed of their status by eServices and new delivery dates will also be shared by eServices with you.

This information is the most accurate information available and delivery time posted is the best that we can guarantee in these difficult times.

We will keep you appraised on a regular basis of our situation.

Best regards
