Two young designers from Paris, specialized in wooden furniture, have decided to work with steel plates from Industeel for a special project in partnership with l’Arc Scene Nationale, theatre in Le Creusot. When Ludovic Austry and Emmanuel Berson from Gueule de bois came to Le Creusot one year and a half ago, they were fascinated by the steel plates stored next to L’Arc theatre and decided they wanted to work with steel for a special design project. Industeel accepted to offer them 3,5 tonnes of Mars 190® steel plates for their project. The result of their work, mixing wood and steel in a very modern design, will be exhibited at L’Arc Scene Nationale until May 2018 to celebrate the theatre’s 50th anniversary. The major part of the artistic work will then be offered to Industeel. The title of the exhibition, Alliage (meaning “alloy”) is an allusion to the industry of Le Creusot, and especially Industeel’s research, innovation and creation of special steel.
